Environmental-friendliness is one of our core values. Along with our efforts to bring innovative solutions to our customers for cost-effective “greener” production, we have been making continuous efforts to improve our own internal business practices.
To further increase contribution to the environmental protection, Air Liquide Japan Ltd., Japan Air Gases Co., has launched a new program called “JAPAN AIR GASES E’s”, aiming at revolutionizing liquid gas products delivery to reduce lorries mileage, and thus CO2 emissions by JAG’s logistics by up to 20%.
This multi-benefit program includes many concepts such as Environment, Expertise, Efficiency, Ease for the customers, etc. The main 3 pillars of “E’s” are the following: 1) Eco delivery 2) Expert 3) E-box – an Air Liquide Group innovation.
JAG E’s will be implemented with enhanced responsiveness in the delivery scheduling operations together with a proactive and intelligent transport system.
We have reinforced our centralized delivery scheduling system at our Amagasaki site with the establishment of a 24-hours monitoring center. In addition, we will use a new telemetry system. This Air Liquide Group innovation, now available in Japan, can be easily installed onto the customer’s gas storage tank, and send gas volume and pressure information to JAG 24 hour Center.
When the gas level reaches a pre-set level, the system automatically informs JAG 24-hour Center which relays the information to JAG National Scheduling Center where all the gas delivery transport are centrally coordinated using sophisticated computer models and years of experience of our professional staff..
Francois Jackow, President of Air Liquide Japan Ltd. commented on the program, “As social awareness towards environmental protection has been increasing, so is our customers’. Movement for green procurement is one example. In this context, considering our responsibilities as a member of the worldwide leader in industrial and medical gases business we want to achieve more efficient operations also preserving our resources like energy. This new offer allows our customers to be also part of this more eco-friendly supply chain. Japan Air Gases E’s program illustrates our attitude of challenging together what we can do around air gases bringing leading innovation and efficiency to make things better for customers and for the society.”
